PK is a clan with a storied history that dates back to its founding by Chicks and several others in 2004. Our clan has had a presence on every major gaming client that is relevant to the Age of Empires series and we intend to keep things that way. If you are interesting in joining the clan and being a part of our vision to do just that, we are interested in you and would ask you to follow several simple steps.
Step 1: Register on the clan website.
To register on the clan website, go to the registration page by clicking one of the "Register" links that are found throughout the website. Then, you need to agree to the terms of use, you need to fill the registration form as accurately as possible, and you need to click the confirmation link in the email that the forum will automatically send you. Step 2: Apply to join.
Once you have clicked your confirmation link, your forum account will be functional. You need to then apply to join the clan by clicking the "Apply" link on the navigation bar at the top or by going to http://pkclan.net/application.php. Please fill out the application form as accurately as possible. Please note that you can make the text boxes for the last two fields bigger by clicking and dragging the bottom right corner in order to stretch the size of the boxes. From there, you are encouraged to elaborate on why you would like to join the clan and to share any additional comments. This is a screenshot of the application form:
Once the form is filled and automatically posted in our recruitment forum, the staff will consider your application and determine if the application will be accepted, denied, or put on hold because it contained insufficient data. Please elaborate on your comments and reasons for joining the clan because details will allow your application to be more likely to be accepted.
Step 3: Join us on Ventrilo.
After applying, we would invite you to join us on Ventrilo. To join our Ventrilo server, you simply need to follow the Ventrilo guide. In simple terms, you simply need to install the Ventrilo software if you have not done so already, you need to input your nickname, you need to input our server address (Hostname or IP = pkclan.nationvoice.com; port = 3855), and you need to configure your input and output settings. If you have a microphone, you need to figure out how much feedback and static is heard by the other players so that you can determine whether push-to-talk or voice activation would be better for you. At any rate, Ventrilo is mandatory for our members, and as a member of PK, you will be expected to be active on Ventrilo.
Step 4: Join the relevant page or roster.
After joining our forum, applying for membership, and joining Ventrilo, we would ask you to join our roster on the client that is relevant to the game you play.
A. If you play any of the relevant games on Voobly, please join our PK team page. Go to the PK team page and click "Membership Application" as shown in the following screenshot.
B. If you play Age of Empires III on ESO, please ask an officer to invite you to join the clan.
C. If you play on GameRanger, please add the {PK} to your username once you have been authorized to do so after your application has been accepted on the forum.
Step 5: Participate and maintain activity.
Now that you have completed all these steps, you are now welcome to join our games and take part in clan activities as a trial member. The key thing at this point is to maintain a regular level of activity on a consistent basis on the forum, Ventrilo, and our games during the trial period we typically grant to accepted applicants. As a recruit maintains activity and demonstrates interest in the clan's welfare, the recruit will be promoted to an official member.
